A note on Ramazan + Kurban Bayramı

The Islamic-calendar holidays (Ramazan Bayramı / Eid al-Fitr and Kurban Bayramı / Eid al-Adha) are shown in the tables above as their official start dates. In practice, Ramazan Bayramı is a 3-day public holiday and Kurban Bayramı is a 4-day public holiday. Many businesses + government offices add a 5th-6th unofficial day around them. Domestic Turkish travel during these bayrams is significant — hotel rates spike, intercity buses fill, and Istanbul empties as residents visit family in Anatolia. Plan accordingly.
